  • The numerical method is applied to simulate the load-deformation curve of steel tubular column filled with steel-reinforced high-strength concrete subjected to compression and bending. The numerical results are verified by experimental data. Based on the numerical results, the major factors influencing load-bearing capacity of the composite column subjected to compression and bending are studied, and formulas for predicting load-bearing capacity of the composite column are proposed.
