EFFECTIVE LENGTHS OF COMPRESSIVE WEB MEMBERS FOR PLANE TUBULAR TRUSS WITH SIMPLE JOINTS

  • In The Code for Design of Steel Structure ( GB 50017- 2003) , there are no specifications about effective lengths of compressive web members for tubular truss with simple joints. This paper used the program of finite element method, analyzed the effective lengths of compressive web members for the tubular truss. The results indicated that the effective lengths of compressive web members mainly depend on the parameters: and , then gave the relative suggested values.
