RESEARCH ON APPLICATION OF FIBER REINFORCED POLYMER COMPOSITE STRUCTURE FOR DEFENSE WORK

Abstract
The authors design an anti-penetration and anti-blast component that made of GFRP-pipe concrete and then analyze the merits of this component. The research shows that the concrete confined with GFRP-pipe can enhance compressive strength of concrete and increase its ductility. Therefore, the concrete confined with GFRP-pipe can improve the anti-penetration capability. In the end, the software LS-DYNA is used to simulate this process, and the results indicate that this defense structure design is much better than the normal one made of common concrete in terms of anti-penetration.
