The beam string structure has been concerned due to its long-span capacity and economization of steel. The conceptual problems of the design of the structure are researched, which include how to regard the corner friction of bottom chord stay, the method of determining the space between stay bars, the limit value of working stress of bottom chord stay and the section of arched beam etc.
