  • Employing the slope deflection equation and considering stiffness modified by the axial force to vertical columns, the simple method of calculation of the deflection of portal steel frame at collapse is presented. Besides, the calculation method of effect of deflection on the collapse load is also presented. To make use of this method may calculate effect of deflection at collapse on the collapse load.
