  • An extruding pile with branches and plates is the one deriving from the ordinary cast-in-situ concrete piles, by which the bearing capacity of a single pile can be raised substantially with a remarkable economic benefit. A new empirical formula is proposed for vertical ultimate bearing capacity of the extruding pile with branches and plates by analysing a lot of test pile data of the extruding piles with branches and plates, whose applicability is also verified.
