Based on the analysis of the load carrying capacity curve of eccentrical compression reinforced concrete column, the characteristics and qualifications of prop rod strengthen method are discussed, the method and condition of using prestressing stay to strengthen a reinforced concrete column are given and its application to engineering is also introduced.
