ULTIMATE BEARING CAPACITY ANALYSIS OF RETICULATED SHELL OF DRY COAL SHED AND ITS RATIONAL DESIGN

  • This paper performs the ultimate bearing capacity analysis on a reticulated shell of dry coal shed that has some local damages to check the ultimate bearing capacity of the damaged reticulated shell with short term load, and gets the ultimate failure form that can still hold the short term load. The result indicates that safety factor of the reticulated shell structure is rather high and that the reticulated shell structure is a kind of rational space structure. Furthermore some advices to improve the design of the reticulated shell structure are put forward and can be helpful to designer.
