The steel cage concrete ( Prefabricated Cage System,PCS) is a new concrete structure. Having advantages
of faster construction,high degree of quality control,better ductility and absorbing higher energy,which can be used
in many members of a concrete structure,which is an important additional part of reinforced concrete system. The
tests were carried out for four concrete columns reinforced with prefabricated cage system and one reinforced concrete
column. The main conclusions are: the failure features of concrete columns reinforced with prefabricated cage system
are basically similar to rebar reinforced system; the ductility of prefabricated cage system is better than rebar cage
system,which improve up to 49. 2%; the capacity of absorbing energy can be improved by 73. 5% using
prefabricated cage system than rebar cage system; the stress of longitudinal steel relates to its position.
