To study the seismic behavior of sprayed concrete sandwich shear walls with low shear-span ratio,quasistatic
tests on 3 specimens were carried out. The test results indicated that the concrete sprayed on both surfaces of
the steel wire mesh framed by expanded polystyrene panel and the boundary elements work together as a unit. The
wall specimens failed in bending-shear. The boundary elements enhanced the elastic-plastic deformation capacity and
energy dissipation capacity of the specimen obviously.
