A STUDY ON VERTICAL SEISMIC ISOLATION OF ISOLATION LAYER WITH DISK SPRING

  • The isolation of horizontal ground motion is usually considered in a base isolation. However, the influence of vertical ground motion is considered insufficiently . The disk springs are installed on the rubber bearing. The method of determining isolation layer parameter and mechanical models are also given. The vertical isolation effect of the new system is remarkable by analyzing examples.
