RESEARCH ON THE BEARING CAPACITY OF ANGLE MEMBERS UNDER AXIAL FORCE BASED ON CHINESE AND AMERICAN TECHNICAL STANDARDS IN TRANSMISSION STEEL TOWER DESIGN
This paper concerns the analysis and calculation of the bearing capacity of angle members under axial force in transmission steel tower design based on Chinese Code for Design of Steel Structures (GB 500172003),Chinese Technical Code for Design of Tower and Pole Structures of Overhead Transmission Line ( DL/T 51542012 ), American Specification for Structural Steel Buildings ( ANSI /AISC 360 - 05 ) and The Design of Latticed Steel Transmission Structures(ASCE 10 - 97). It was mainly focused on the comparison between relative Chinese and American standards on the calculation of stability factor and bearing capacity and calculation examples were given based on DL/T 51542012 and ASCE 10 - 97,which provided references for the corresponding design of project.
