THE PROTECTION AND REUSE OF SHANGHAI GLASS FACTORY RUINS

The protection and use of the industrial heritages play an important role in the urban construction and the development. It was analyzed comprehensively the research on industrial heritages and the status of their use in China. Based on which，linked with Shanghai's reality，it also was discussed the domestic first glass museum construction course. It was summarized the excellent case of reforming successfully Shanghai Glass Factory, as well as its protection an use; it was pointed out that the reasonable localization，the accurate decision-making，the rigorous design plan as well as the nimble and efficient later period operation were the basic guarantees of the project success.
