EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON TECHNIQUE OF REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAM STRENGTHENED WITH PRESTRESSED FRP SHEETS AND PRESTRESS LOSS

  • The technique of structure strengthened with prestressed FRP sheet is an effective technique with a bright future. Strengthening process and prestress loss are two important problems in this technique. According to the size of small beam,strengthening process is improved by adding a base beam,and then it is analyzed that the production mechanism of this process'prestress loss. The formula of prestress loss can be got through analyzing residual strain. By comparison and analysis,it is found that the values by the formula of prestress loss are basically consistent with measured values. In addition, the rate of presstress loss calculated by the formula and that from the measured data are both 15% ~20%.
