ANALYSIS OF SETTLEMENT MECHANISM AND MODEL FOR MSW BASED ON INTERIOR COLUMNAR LANDFILL TEST

  • Some kinds of refuse elements were mixed according to classic proportion indoors. Long time landfill test was done with interior settlement apparatus at stated leachating condition. In the course of whole landfill, settlement values were termly measured. On the basis of Gandolla model, considering the speciality of refuse immediate settlement and long term settlement, composite compressibility model considering refuse whole settlement was adopted. According to the measured date of columnar settlement experiment, the calculation parameters of model were back-figured. As a result, based on the composite settlement model, the calculated values and the measured values of landfill test and field test were basically accordant which showed that the analysis of settlement mechanism and the constructed model were reasonable.
