EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON BEHAVIOR OF AGGREGATE FOR RECYCLED AGGREGATE CONCRETE

  • With the transformation of China's urbanization and accelerated pace of urban agglomeration,increasing construction waste has brought the conflict between the development of a city and its environmental degradation. The use of recycled aggregate( RA) can mitigate to a certain extent the pollution on the environment. Because the source of RA can cause poor stability in its quality,large dispersion and other shortcomings. By three different sources and different service life of the waste concrete for a total of 112 groups of coarse aggregate performance tests and 12 sets of fine aggregate performance tests,comparative analysis of the differences of indicators between recycled aggregate and natural aggregate was done,and a crushing value performance test was also made to analyse the effect of brick particles content on the behavior of recycled coarse aggregate. Which provided a reference for the research on properties of recycled aggregate and the local grading standards suitable for local conditions.
