Xinjiang Poplar is endemic to Xinjiang and is widely used in Xinjiang, but there are less researches on the Xinjiang Poplar.It was studied the flexural behavior of Xinjiang Poplar beam, and the basic mechanical properties, moisture content, tensile strength, compressive strength perpendicular to the grain of Xinjiang Poplar were measured.The bending tests of 5 Xinjiang Poplar beams of rectangular cross-section were done to verify the plane section assumption, and the Xinjiang Poplar timber beam's relationships among failure characteristics, ultimate load, load-strain, load-deflection etc were obtained.
