    Abstract
  • According to the development background and the analysis of city renewal model of Barcelona, it was elaborated the measures of historical city preservation and coastal areas reconstruction, analyzed the significance of city renewal to urban development.It was also pointed out that cultural policy was the key to successful transformation of Barcelona, from establishing of cultural strategy planning, attaching importance to cultural facilities construction and positively holding cultural events, it was analyzed the role of cultural policy and proposed the inspiration and reference to the renewal of cities in China.
