Through the finite element analysis of an imaginary embankment under fast loading, in order to examine the difference of consolidation deformation results predicted by the three plastic-models(MCC, 3DMCC, and ANIS-MCC).The research results showed that the variation trendency of the deformation and pore pressure were mainly the same before the destroy of the embankment, however, when it necessicary, especially to improve the prediction accuracy of the ground deformation at foot, it was best to use the more complex model that could reflact the anisotropic yield characteristics of the soil, such as ANIS-MCC.
