Six rectangular concrete filled double skin steel tubes(RCFDST) and one rectangular concrete filled steel tube were tested under axial compressive load. The changes of test parameters were length-width ratios of inner and outer steel tubes. The test results showed that compared specimens with the same inner tubes, the axial bearing capacity of specimens with larger size of outer steel tube was higher.Due to reducing area of concrete and local buckling of the inner tube, the axial bearing capacity of specimen declines slightly with the increasing of size of inner steel tubes compared specimens with the same outer tube. The axial bearing capacity of concrete filled steel tube was higher than that of concrete filled double skin steel tubes.Load-deformation relationship curves of rectangular concrete filled double skin steel tubes subjected to axial compression were analyzed by finite element software ABAQUS, the calculated results were in good agreement with those of tests.
