THE PUSHOVER ANALYSIS OF MEGA STEEL FRAME-CABLE BRACING STRUCTURE

  • For studying failure mode and structural anti-seismic performance of the original mega steel frame-cable bracing structure,the pushover analysis was applied by two different lateral loading patterns of inverted triangle and uniform distribution in this paper.The calculation results show that failure mode is basically the same in the two lateral load patterns.The failure order of members is braces between columns,web rods of mega beam,floor beams,chord rods of mega beam,and column piers.Cable fails earlier,the tension of another cable in the same story increases faster.In 8 degree frequent earthquake,the structure is in the elastic state,and in 8 degree rare earthquake,parts of the structural members enter into plastic state.All the inter-story drifts meet the seismic requirements under the action of 8 degree frequent earthquake and rare earthquake.
