Based on 30 sets of acceleration records of near-field earthquake,the influence of vertical effect of near-field earthquake on the vertical and horizontal response spectra displacement demand of structures was studied in detail.Statistical analysis showed that for the selected acceleration records,the maximum value of the vertical mean spectra was higher than that of the horizontal mean spectra.Hence compared to the far-field earthquake,the near-field earthquake really had much higher vertical effect.Consulting the internal and overseas research results,the near-field standard design spectra were established adapting to Chinese seismic code.The results showed that after considering the near-field effect,the value of horizontal standard design spectra increased obviously in short-period,which was worth paying much attention by researchers and designers in the field of earthquake engineering.
