Abstract
Two assembled monolithic RC columns with precast external shell and cast-in-place core concrete and one cast-in-place RC column were fabricated.Their bending capacities were tested.The failure process and failure modes of the columns were studied.Besides,the load deflection relation,the strain developments of main bars were compared.Also the cracking load and ultimate capacity were investigated.It can be concluded that the new-type assembled monolithic RC columns have good flexural behavior as the same as the cast-in-place RC column.Based on the test results,a calculation method is provided,it can be referred for the design of this kind of columns
