  • It was put forward a new type of beam consisting of ultra toughness concrete,high strength steels and low yield point steels to improve seismic performance of normal RC beams.Based on contrast experiments of ultra toughness concrete beam with different yield poins steels and a normal RC beam under low reversed cyclic loading,crack propagation,failure pattern,hysteresis curves,framework curve,energy dissipation,ductility,etc.were studied systematically.The studies showed that ultra toughness concrete beam with different yield poins steels had better seismic performance.
