STUDY ON STRESS INCREMENT OF TENDON FOR EXTERNALLY PRESSTRESSED CONCRETE BEAMS

  • To promote the technology of externally prestressed concrete structures,especially in the reinforcement of low-strength concrete beams.Twelve externally prestressed concrete beams were tested with static load.Combining with the study of bending performance of model beam,it was analyzed the affect of the stress increment of tendon on flexural capacity.Test results show that the stress increment is the important factor influencing accuracy of bending capacity of externally prestressed concrete beams,and is significantly lower,and the value of the stress increment specified as 100 MPa in JGJ 92 it is suggested that this value should be 170 MPa.
