EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON COMPACTION TECHNOLOGY OF MALAN LOSSES

  • A series of tests and Proctor compaction test were carried out to study the compaction characteristics of Malan Losses.Analysis were made of the influence of water content on compaction effect and compaction effect of single or the new combination technology.The reference index of physical and mechanical property of compact Malan Losses were gained,and it was also given reference value of ground bearing capacity and modulus of deformation.The results of the tests showed that compact Malan losses had strong water susceptibility,and water content controlling was the key factor of compaction effect;the scope of water content controlling in-situ was 12%~14% and maximum dry density was 1.85~1.89g/cm3 .The vibrating-dynamic combination technology was best for compacting Malan Losses,and the construction speed of this technology was rapid and compliance was good,and it best for gully fill construction.
