In order to study the shear performance of high-strength concrete and HRBF500 steel beams without web reinforcement,6 beams with different shear span ratio were tested under the concentrated load.The whole process from the appearance of cracks to breakage of the beams was observed,the strain of main reinforcement,deflection and shear capacity were analyzed.Then,the test results were compared with the shear strengths predicted by the code (GB 50010-2010) .The results showed that the shear strengths of beams of smaller span-to-depth ratios and larger span-to-depth ratios significantly differed between calculation results and the experimental results.
