Based on the test results of three timber columns strengthened with CFRP and one contrast column without CFRP under eccentric loading,the load-bearing capacity,ductility and failure modes of the columns were compared and analyzed.combining the previous results,the calculating formula of the ultimate load-bearing capacity was presented.The theoretic results were well suited to the experiment results
