Structure behavior of composite member depends largely on performance of shear connector.In this paper, shear connector formed by rectangular steel with two holes,applicable to composite beam in building structure,was presented.Failure modes and influences of the geometric dimensions on performance of the connector were studied and analyzed through eleven static push-out model tests,the geometric dimensions including height and thickness of the plate,diameters of the holes,and diameter of reinforcement bars through the holes and so on.It is shown that the proposed connector has good mechanical properties and is more economic,especially the ones with reinforced bars through the open holes have larger strength and better ductility.
