EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE SIZE EFFECT OF CONCRETE UNIAXIAL COMPRESSIVE BEHAVIOR

  • The complete stress-strain curves of concrete prism specimens were obtained by the rigid supporttechnique. The compressive behaviors of concrete prisms with different strength levels and specimen sizes wereanalyzed. Based on the test results, the size effect of several mechanical parameters including concrete prismaticcompressive strength, peak strain, ultimate strain and elastic modulus was investigated. Also the size conversionfactor of these mechanical parameters was proposed.
