Because of the demand on low carbon energy conservation and environmental protection, the boiler roomfor winter heating in China University of Mining and Technology was closed more than ten years ago, idling already fora long time. The architectural modelling of the boiler room is full of industrial atmosphere, it has a strongidentification and is remembered by many people in the college. Now it was repaired and a new function was given totransform it into a modern office. The transformation design use a variety of new technologies and new techniques wereused for the design, and introduces the concept of green building was also used, so as to transform the boiler room tofollow after the development trend of the low carbon ecological architecture.
