STUDY ON REUSE STRATEGY OF INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE IN REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

Prosperity of national industry and commerce has left many industrial architectural heritages which areworthy of respect and protection in modern cities. In the process of urban redevelopment, more and more attention hasbeen paid to how to use these cultural and economic values of industrial heritages in real estate development projects.Through the analysis of re-use of industrial heritages in Xishuidong Residential Project in Wuxi, it was tried to discussthe possibility of industrial heritage re-use and the strategies of re-use. And it can be concluded that it is of greatsignificance to the improvement of the urban environment, to the city' s memories, to the maintaining of the charm ofthe city life and the cultural renaissance when our residential design concerned with the conservation and re-use of theindustrial heritages.
