ECOLOGICAL FOLK HOUSE AND INDOOR THERMAL ENVIRONMENT IN NORTHWEST CHINA

  • Yinchuan is located in the desert area in northwest China,ecological environment is worse.Jianfuqiao village in Yinchuan suburbs was chosen as object for new rural construction.The passive solar folk house was designed based on local abundant solar energy resource.Passive solar houses,straw-bale,rice husk board,sloping roofs and other eco-construction techniques were used for the new house.After building,the measuring devices were used to monitor and record temperature,relative humidity,solar radiation etc.in winter.The main factors of indoor thermal environment were pointed out.Analysis of the summer indoor ventilation simulation was carried out.The results of testing and simulation show that the new folk house is warm in winter and cool in summer,which provides a useful reference for new rural construction in northwest China.
