AXIAL BEARING CAPACITY OF FRP-CONCRETE-STEEL DOUBLE-SKIN TUBULAR SHORT COLUMNS

  • Under the twin shear unified strength theory,the research on the axial bearing capacity of FPR-concrete-steel double-skin tubular short columns was carried out.Through considering the influence of intermediate principal stress and the normal stress on the corresponding surface,ignoring the contribution of the outer tube to the axial bearing capacity of the short column and considering the hooping effect of the tube on the concrete,formula of axial bearing capacity of FPR-concrete-steel double-skin tubular short columns was presented and influencing factors were analyzed.The calculation results were compared with the experiment results in relevant documents and the finite element analysis results,well coinciding with each other,which suggests that the inferred formula has a certain applicability.
