Tall fill was needed near the scientific research center which was one of the important multifunctional buildings in Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden.Research on the experiment dam,refutations of the design parameters,horizontal force transmission of the tall earth-retaining wall and the structure in both ends were introduced in detail in the paper.Investigation in the adverse impacts on the nearby building caused by the tall fill were explained and the utility design method was suggested,which could be a reference to relevant projects.
