EXPERIMENT STUDY ON SEISMIC BEHAVIOR OF RC FRAMES STRENGTHENED BY CFRP SHEETS WITH DIFFERENT DAMAGED DEGREE AT SUSTAINING LOAD

  • Based on two-layer industry workshops as project background,three RC frame models with the scale 1/3 was designed and produced,with the same size and reinforcement. First,low-cyclic repeated load is imposed on the three RC frame models so that they are in a different degree of damage,then,strengthened by CFRP in conditions of constant loading. Second,the same experiments for the strengthened frames are done again. Based on the data from test,the curves such as load-displacement hysteresis curve,load-skeleton curve and seismic capacity of damaged RC frame strengthened by CFRP are analyzed. And seismic properties of the different damaged RC frames strengthened by CFRP are compared. The results show that the different damaged RC frames strengthened by CFRP have good seismic performance and serviceability. Which provides a theoryetic basis for strengthening a damaged RC frame after rare earthquake.
