The overground part of an industrial pond was reinforced concrete structure.During application of the pond,cracks occurred on the concrete wall.It was carried out a detailed analysis of the project incidents,the analysis indicated that the wall cracks were caused by temperature stress.After determining the cause of accident,the original pond was reinforced.The reinforcement scheme of adhibiting carbon fiber and heat insulation of wall were used.It was suggested that heat insulation of wall should be used in the design of the overground pond.
