Jinan Olympic Sports Center was the primary venue for the 2009 National Sports Games. The structure strain monitoring and its results of the steel structure for Jinan Olympic Sports Center are introduced. The stadium is a space steel truss structure. The strain monitoring programme is also introduced. In the mean time,the principle of measuring point selection and arrangement are expounded. The key bars strain is monitored using optical fiber and grating sensor and achieved higher accuracy and better stability are obtained,which can be applied to other similar structure monitorings.
