Prilling tower is the core structure in the technological process of Nitro-compound fertilizer plant,the safety of the structure is directly related to the normal operation of fertilizer production. Prilling tower is a hollow high special structure which is constructed by concrete-filled steel tube columns bonded by annular truss and widely used in fertilizer plant. As the special shape of the structure,there is no stability study on the tower. According to the characteristics of CFT prilling tower,buckling analysis is used to analyze the elastic stability of the demand on structure. Effective length is calculated with equivalent stiffness method and the stiffness of annular truss is identified. Based on advanced analysis method,high-rise steel frame elastic-plastic stability was assessed . A new load model and evaluation methods have been proposed. According to the analysis of such structures,design measures are proposed,which provides references for similar structures.
