EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON PREPARATION OF ECOLOGICAL CEMENTITIOUS COMPOSITES PVA-ECC

  • PVA-ECC has the properties of high ductility,which ensures the capacity for large energy dissipation,but low strength. By making waste materials,an orthogonal test method is adopted to prepare PVA-ECC with high strength but also meeting a engineering requirement of deformability. This kind of PVA-ECC can be used in high-rise buildings. The results show that the replacement of cement with 45% fly ash and proper amount silica fume can make compressive strength of PVA-ECC be more than 60 MPa,by using fine sand. Fly ash can improve strain - hardening performance of PVA-ECC. Silica fume leads to less ductile behaviour of PVA-ECC.
