According to the distribution character of ion consistency in ground water and the purpose of changing soil strength, samplings of soil and ground water experiments were executed to carry through statistic and analysis of soil strength, which were made up of chemical action of water-soil and mechanics experiments. The results show the weakened effect occurs on soil cohesion with Ca2 +,HCO 3-,K + and Na + consistency change in ground water and Cl-consistency change is very small.Synchronously, the effect of ion consistency on inner friction angle and modulus index is smaller than that on cohesion for above ion.The study provides experience for improving stability of geotechnical construction.
