Ecoclimatic building design has roots in local climate and natural environment,which laid the foundation for ecology and energy-saving. Using the methods of graphic analysis and inductive synthesis,the principles and strategies that architectural design integrated with local climate and eco-environment were discussed. Architectural design with ecoclimate should control advantageous climate and natural landform,avoid disadvantageous climate by planning and architectural design,and take appropriate technologies and vernacular architectural aesthetics to make indoor thermal environment cool in summer and warm in winter; at the same time architectural layout,spatial form,thermal buffer space,ventilation and windproof,shape selection and energy-saving structure should all follow regional climate.
