Abstract

Abstract

There are some misconceptions in understanding of vernacular architetcures. Attention is paid to the form but the influences of local climate and natural environment are ignored; it is not understood how to express truly in the choice of materials and the method of using them. A splendid style is pursued but little care is given to the demands of ordinary people. Some enlightenments can be obtained from Baker's works.
