BENDING RESISTANCE BEHAVIOR OF SEVERELY CORRODED REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAM

  • Deformation,cracking,bearing capacity and the failure mechanism of beams with corroded reinforcement under repeated loading were investigated. Twenty sample beams,including 4 uncorroded and 16 corroded reinforced concrete beams were tested under repeated loading. The effect of corrosion rate on the bearing capacity and flexural cracking was presented. Formulas for the bearing capacity and cracking load of corroded beams under repeated load were suggested.
