AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE SEISMIC BEHAVIOR OF CONCRETE-FILLED GFRP TUBE COLUMN

  • In order to investigate the seismic behavior of a concrete-filled GFRP (glass fiber reinforced polymer) tube structure,repeat low cycle loading tests are carried out on four concrete-filled GFRP tube columns and one RC column. The failure shape and hysteretic characteristics are researched,and factors such as concrete strength and the axial load ratio that affected ductility of the columns are analyzed. Researches show that the concrete-filled GFRP tube columns have excellent seismic behavior.
