THE INFLUENCE OF TEMPERATURE-HUMIDITY CYCLES ON BENDING MECHANICAL BEHAVIOR OF CONCRETE BEAMS STRENGTHENED BY CFRP

  • The temperature-humidity cycle's action is one of major factors,which causing the deterioration of concrete structures,especially in the high temperature-humidity areas of the south of China. In this study,the influence of temperature-humidity cycles on mechanical behavior of concrete beams strengthened by carbon fiber reinforced plastics is explored,and crack phenomena are observed of concrete beams based on the fast temperaturehumidity tests. Moreover,the destructive pattern of concrete beams strengthened by CFRP with the temperaturehumidity cycle's action is analyzed. The test results are compared with experimental data under normal environmental condition,by which the deterioration mechanism of mechanical properties, and influenced degree of concrete structures strengthened by CFRP with temperature-humidity cycle's action are obtained.
