The 3 specimens of blast furnace foundations under the action of vertical load and temperature effect were tested. The influence of temperature on blast furnace foundation is discussed, and the characteristics of foundation stress based on different grounds are compared. The conclusions are: 1)only the top of the foundation is affected by temperature effect;2)under vertical loading, the stress in the bottom of blast furnace foundation supported by uniform ground is low and the stress in the bottom supported by piles is high;3) there is obvious stress concentration at the interface between foudation and the upper sturcture, the way of setting the constructional reinforcement needs improvement.
