Frame-bent structure is the structural form that is frequently used in the main mill building of a thermal power plant, whose structural quality and rigidity are distributed non-uniformly.It is necessary to research earthquake resistant behavior of this structure. In order to achieve the performance of main building under rare earthquake,a time history response analysis is carried out.The result shows that the complete dynamic response process of the structure under seismic loads varying with time is showed with time history method. The frame-bent structure has many weak links, which merits attention during design of such structure.
