Prior to massive concreting, calculations shall be made to estimate the highest hydration temperature in order to determine the concrete stresses resulted from temperature.Hydration temperature is related to the type of raw materials used, the structural shape and dimensions, the construction environment, construction methods and sequences. This paper presents a study which investigated massive concreting temperature calculation methods. The result of this study has been used to estimate the temperature of foundation concreting for several nuclear power plants and excellent results have been obtained.
