EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON BEARING CAPACITY OF ECCENTRICALLY LOADED R.C. COLUMNS WITH HRBF500 STEEL BARS

  • Based on the experiments of nine eccentrically loaded columns with HRBF500 steel bars and one eccentrically loaded column with HRB400 steel bars,the load-strain curves of steel bars,strain curves of concrete,as well as the characteristics of failure modes were analyzed.The design value of HRBF500 steel bar being 450 MPa in column and the formula of calculating the ultimate strength were proposed based on the experiment and the comprehensive theoretical analysis.
